What we found out: According to CPW General Manager John Young, the Forest Hills sewer replacement project is slated for mid-2016.
The project to replace aging sewer lines is in the CPW’s proposed budget for 2016 that will be voted on at their December meeting.
Young said that those sewer lines are in bad shape and that he understood they were installed in the 1950’s.
CPW will use a grant for this project that is included in the proposed budget.
An engineer is working on the plans now and once completed, they will be sent to DHEC for final approval. Young anticipates the project to take 3-6 months to complete.
