“I feel like these seniors were sold a little short in their final year because they came in with a new coach and didn’t get to play with the same coach throughout their career,” said first year coach Dees. “I am very proud of what they have accomplished and their effort on the court.”
All of the seniors were recognized before the match and were presented with a gift from the school and Dees. The players include Callie Holmes, Lauren Broome, Laura Langston and Raegan Chumley.
The Lady Crusaders finished with a regular season record of 11-7 as they lost against Wardlaw in straight sets 25-20, 25-18 and 25-8. Laurens Academy will begin their region tournament on Thursday.

Four Laurens Academy seniors took the court on Monday night for their final regular season home game. Even though the Lady Crusaders lost all three games and the match to Wardlaw Academy, Head Coach Kristyn Dees said she was proud of the work her team put in this year.
