Friday night the Laurens Academy Crusaders travel to Dillion to take on the defending Class A State Champion Dillion Academy Warriors.  The Warriors come into the matchup 8-1, with their single loss coming against a Single A Public School.  "They are an awfully good football team," said LA Head Coach Todd Kirk.  

One of the biggest obstacles the Crusaders will have to overcome is the Warriors 41 man roster.  Such a deep roster will keep fresh legs on the field for Dillion throughout the night.  "They put a lot of points on the scoreboard," said Kirk.  Kirk was pleased with the effort he saw from his defense in practice this week.  "They really chased the football...hopefully they carry that into Friday night."

"We talked a lot about attitude this week," Kirk said.  The Crusaders will have to bring all of their confidence into Friday nights game.  "They[Dillion] have beat up on a lot of teams," said Kirk.  "We hope they come in a little over confident," he added.  "Our defense has played well all year.  If we can hold them, we have a great shot."
