| Crusader boys and girls advance to region tournament championship |

The girls team defeated Newberry Academy 33-30 at the buzzer in the opening round last Thursday while the boys easily defeated Anderson Christian 52-19.
Despite who wins on Tuesday, both teams will go on to the SCISA State Tournament this weekend as the advancement is based on regular season results and not the Region Tournament.
The Lady Crusaders finished second in the region during the regular season and the Crusader boys finished first with a perfect 6-0 record.
The Laurens Academy girls will face Wardlaw on Tuesday at 6:00 pm and the boys will follow at 7:30 pm against Newberry.

Following an opening round victory by both the Laurens Academy girls and boys basketball teams, the Crusaders will compete for the Region Tournament Championship on Tuesday at Newberry College.
