After serving a search warrant on Wednesday morning at a house on Milton Road in Joanna, Laurens County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 18 individuals on drug charges.
According to Sheriff Ricky Chastain, an anonymous tip led deputies to begin surveillance at the house. Undercover deputies then made several purchases of drugs before obtaining the search warrant.
When deputies arrested three individuals at the house on charges of selling crack cocaine and marijuana, the undercover agents stayed behind at the house and arrested 15 more individuals who came to the residence to buy drugs.
Those individuals, along with the original three at the house, were arrested by the LCSO on charges of distribution or attempting to buy crack cocaine and marijuana. The subjects are being held at the Johnson Detention Center.
