| Crusaders finish Sandlapper Tournament with a loss |

The Laurens Academy baseball team wrapped up an unsuccessful performance in the Sandlapper Tournament on Tuesday as they lost 9-4 to Gilbert High School. The Crusaders were 0-3 in the tournament.
LA was unable to recover from a Gilbert first inning line of six runs, three hits and two errors. JE Satterfiled (0-1) suffered the loss going five innings, giving up nine runs (six earned) on eight hits, four walks and two strikeouts. Michael Knight pitched a perfect sixth inning with one strikeout.
The Crusader offense was led by brothers Christian and Jacob Greene, both going 2-3. Christian Greene had an RBI single. Knight and Joshua Caviness each had RBI singles. Satterfield and Taylor Sims also added singles.
The Crusaders fall to 6-6 for the season and will host Batseburg-Leesville on Monday, April 12 at 7:00 pm.
