Gray Court man charged with murder after fatal stabbing

A Laurens County man was charged with murder on Wednesday in connection with a fatal stabbing in Pendleton on Sunday morning.

Ahmad Kedauris Neely, 17, of Gray Court, was charged with murder, criminal conspiracy and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Three other individuals were arrested including a 17-year-old from Simpsonville and two 18-year-olds from Central. Those three were all charged with murder and criminal conspiracy.

According to reports from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, an altercation occurred outside of a residence around 2:30am on Sunday. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said that 48-year-old Charles Hillery died from multiple stab wounds.

Reports indicate that deputies are currently searching for a 16-year-old in connection with the murder.
