The annual Miss Laurens County and Laurens County Teen pageant took place on Saturday evening alongside the Miss Simpsonville and Miss Simpsonville Teen pageant in Simpsonville.

This is the first time that the two pageants have combined for a double preliminary pageant.

Brooke Spence, a student at Woodmont High School, was crowned the new Miss Laurens County Teen. Ansley Seay, a student at Clemson University, was crowned the new Miss Laurens County. Both ladies had the pleasure of being crowned by Miss Laurens County Teen Kathryn Tribble.

This pageant is a preliminary to the Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants to be held in June at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, where the winners of the state pageants will compete at Miss America and Miss America's Outstanding Teen.

The Teen pageant was open to girls ages 13 to 17, and the Miss pageant was open to ladies ages 18 to 24. Teen contestants competed in physical fitness, talent, evening gown, on-stage question, and interview. Miss contestants competed in swimsuit, talent, evening gown, on-stage question, and interview.
