LCSO investigating after multiple dogs found dead in Gray Court

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation after multiple dogs were found shot to death in the Gray Court area.

Around 10:23 a.m. on Tuesday morning, deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff's Office were notified by Laurens County Animal Control Officers that they had received a complaint of multiple dogs being found deceased on the side of the roadway in the Gray Court area.

Upon arriving at the scene, near the intersection of Stoddard Mill Road and Ben Taylor Road, deputies observed four deceased dogs laying in a ditch. Another five deceased dogs were located on Bryson Ford Road and two other dogs were found deceased on Sweetbriar Road. Four additional dogs were found later in the day on Tuesday. 

From a preliminary investigation, it appeared that some of the dogs were shot to death.
