Keith was a dedicated employee at the Medical University of S.C. as a Project Manager in the Office of the CIO. He was greatly appreciated and highly respected by the MUSC family.
As a young boy, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America and was an accomplished classic pianist for which he received many awards.
Keith had a passion for the Clemson Tigers, the outdoors, gardening, boating, fishing, and his pets. But above all, his true devotion was to his family, especially to his daughter, Kimbell, who was his pride and joy.
Keith was an active member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and attended weekly Men’s breakfast. He was an active member of this church community and consistently volunteered with Crisis Ministries and Habitat for Humanity. Keith’s faith was the guiding light in his life.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Diane Dobbins-Beeks; his daughter, Kimbell Ellen Dobbins; mother, Patricia Beeks Leopard (Joe Leopard); and his nieces, Rachel and Rebecca Beeks. He is preceded in death by James Fred Beeks (father) and James Kevin Beeks (brother).
A service in celebration of his life will be held on June 4 at 2 p.m. at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. The internment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made in Keith’s memory to The Clemson University Foundation, c/o 110 Daniel Drive, Clemson University, Clemson, SC 29631.
