Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Jamie Roland and Maude Ella Owings Stoddard. A member of Davidson Street Baptist Church, she was a retired schoolteacher.
Mrs. Hellams is survived by: a son, Daniel Floyd Hellams and wife Rene of Charlotte, NC, and daughters, Beth Hellams Williams and husband Allen of Charleston and Margaret Hellams Brown and husband Steve of Clinton; a sister, Lydie Mahon of Laurens; grandchildren, Ryan Hellams and wife Kelly of Simpsonville, Kathryn Hellams of Charlotte, Jody Williams and husband Brett of Knoxville, TN, Lauree Arms and husband Nathan of Clinton, and Leigh Ann Young and husband Bryan of Summerville; and great grandchildren, Davis Hellams, Ansley and Aliza Williams, Grey Arms, and Hunter Young.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Sara Stoddard and Margaret Harrison.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Davidson Street Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Kenny Moore and Rev. Brett Williams with burial in Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, 100 Dixon St., Clinton SC 29325, and will receive friends at Davidson Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, prior to the service.
