Vivian Beane Workman - Laurens

Vivian Beane Workman, 90, of Laurens and wife of the late Raymond Workman, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Walter “Glenn” and Lillian Landers Beane. Mrs. Workman was retired from Laurens Glass as payroll manager after more than 30 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church; where she served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and member of the WMU.

She is survived by: her son, Franz William “Buck” Workman and wife Tenia of Hartwell, GA; grandson, John Barrett Workman and wife Crystal; and great grandson, John Luke Workman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by: a son, John Raymond Workman; a brother, Jim Beane; and sisters, Kate Brownlee, Muriel Hope, and Laura O’Shields.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 4, 2018, in The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel in Laurens, SC, conducted by Rev. Michael Post and Dr. Steve Albanese with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective residences and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service.
