Jared Cvetko struck out 13 to lead the Laurens Raiders to a 3-0 shutout win over the Wade Hampton Generals in Greenville on Tuesday night.

The Raiders scored one run in the first inning and that is all Cvetko would need for the remainder of the game. The senior hurler pitched all but the final out, allowing three hits and walking one. Jalen Bragg came in to record the final out with a strikeout.

For the Raiders first run, Ty Foster was hit by a pitch and later scored on a groundout by Ethan Jones.

Laurens added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Layton Mahon singled and Nathan Rutter was hit by a pitch to start the inning. Cvetko drove in Mahon on a sacrifice fly and Austin Cornelius scored on a wild pitch, running for Rutter.

The Raiders tallied just three hits with Mahon collecting two and Morgan French adding a single.

Laurens improves to 6-2 overall and will host Clinton on Wednesday night at 7:30pm.
