Laurens coach pitch all-stars fall to Wren in district title game

The Laurens Little League coach pitch all-stars are heading to the state tournament despite losing to Wren in the district championship on Sunday. Laurens advances as the district runner-up. 

With one win and one loss on Saturday, Laurens had the chance to face off with Wren again on Sunday for the Little League District 1 championship but fell short.

On Saturday, Laurens started the day with an 11-10 loss to Wren. With the score tied at 10-10, Wren scored the winning run in the top of the sixth.

Brayden Patterson was 4 for 4 with three runs scored. Logan Martin was 3 for 3 with two runs scored.

In the second game on Saturday, Laurens defeated Easley 11-2 to punch their ticket to the title game on Sunday.

Patterson, Martin, Caleb Hardy and Wyatt Pinson were all 3 for 4 to pace the Laurens offense. Defensively, Martin and Tyler Avery sparkled in the field.
