High school cross country teams run at Eye Opener in Spartanburg

Local high school cross country teams kicked off the 2017 season at the Eye Opener meet in Spartanburg on Saturday.

Over 75 schools from SC, NC, GA and TN sent over 2,500 runners to this event at the Roger Milliken Research Center.

Clinton, Laurens and Laurens Academy participated in the boys championship division. Clinton finished in 33rd place and Laurens finished in 47th place.

Clinton and Laurens Academy girls participated in the girls championship division. Clinton finished 32nd in a field of 39 teams.
