Local contests rescheduled after Monday rainouts

Rain forced postponement of several local sports events scheduled for Monday.

The Clinton Region 3-3A opener in boys' tennis, with Chapman as the visitors, has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 5 at the Clinton Middle School courts.

The Red Devil baseball team was scheduled to visit Belton-Honea Path. That game has been rescheduled for Monday, March 26.

Rain may affect Tuesday's schedule, as well.

Clinton golf visits Prosperity to take on Mid-Carolina and Newberry, with tee-off at 4 p.m.

Clinton track visits LDHS to face Laurens and Strom Thurmond, beginning at 5.

CHS boys' tennis hosts St. Joseph's at 5.

Chapman visits Clinton in soccer at 7 and baseball at 7:30. CHS softball visits Inman to Chapman at 7.

Elsewhere, Laurens Academy has already rescheduled its baseball game at home against Newberry Academy from Tuesday to Wednesday, citing poor field conditions. The game will begin at 5:30.

Laurens varsity baseball double-header vs Emerald has been rescheduled for March 31 at 12:00 and 2:00.

Laurens JV baseball vs Emerald has been rescheduled for March 19 at 6:00.
