Second half surge lifts Eagles over Blue Hose

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Winthrop men’s basketball team used a 17-0 run in the second half to break open a four-point game and take the 75-52 win over Presbyterian College in Big South action Wednesday night in Rock Hill, S.C.  Ed Drew led the Blue Hose with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Laurens County Sports Hall of Fame tabs first class of inductees

The Laurens County Sports Hall of Fame will induct eight members into its first class on March 30, 2017.

Brian Reese, PC’s director of athletics, has been named the next director of athletics at Lander University in Greenwood effective Jan. 17.

Radford shot over 68% in the second half and used a late 19-9 run to pull away late, taking the 76-63 win over the Presbyterian College men’s basketball team in Big South action Saturday afternoon at the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C.  Will Adams led all scorers with 21 points after hitting five three-pointers.

PC basketball drops tight road contest at Longwood

FARMVILLE, VA. – Longwood used a 17-5 run, and shot over 65% in the second half, to help erase a halftime deficit and rally past the Presbyterian College men’s basketball team, 79-76, in Big South action Wednesday evening in Farmville, Va.  PC got back to within three with a few seconds remaining but a potential three-point to tie the game fell just short.  Four Blue Hose scored in double-figures in the contest.

PC earns 65-55 conference win over Longwood

The Presbyterian College women’s basketball team started off Big South conference play with a 65-55 victory over Longwood on Tuesday night at the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C. The Blue Hose improve to 3-9 on the season and 1-0 in the Big South, while the Lancers fall to 3-9, 0-1.
