SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Gary South Shore RailCats held on late to beat the Sioux Falls Canaries 6-5 in 10 innings. Joe Testa struck out Kevin Dultz with the bases loaded on a full count to end the game and give the RailCats a two game winning streak. The RailCats held off the Canaries after not being able to in the home half of the ninth.

Laurens High School senior Cody Smiley has been named the Laurens County Baseball Player of the Year for 2014.

The Presbyterian College Athletics Department announced today that a new lighting system will be installed at Bailey Memorial Stadium for the upcoming 2014 football season.
